The six-figure fine that Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio received was first revealed by a tweet he posted. His Twitter account was deleted.

It was spotted by Nicki Jhabvala, Washington Post. And, indeed, it’s gone.

Del Rio attempted to link the insurrection with the 2020 unrest in a tweet on Tuesday, as the January 6 committee’s first public hearing was approaching. He called January 6’s events a “dustup in the Capitol” at a previously scheduled press conference the next day.

Later, he apologized for calling the attack against the Capitol “dustup”. Ron Rivera, the head coach, imposed a $100,000 penalty on Del Rio.
