A 56-year-old was racially insulted and injured during a bus ride in Berlin-Lichterfelde. The state security police are investigating a 57-year-old woman for insult and bodily harm, the police said on Wednesday. The woman is said to have racially insulted the daughter of the 56-year-old in line 85 on Tuesday evening when she wanted to sit in one of the few free seats and therefore asked the woman to take her bag away. The 17-year-old therefore refrained from sitting down. Instead, her mother sat down – and was suddenly hit in the stomach.

The accused then allegedly got up and went to the front door. She is said to have attacked a 72-year-old by pulling her hair and hitting her face twice with the palm of her hand. The bus driver alerted the police, who noted the names of those involved and witnesses and informed the alleged perpetrator.
