Admittedly, they are very cute, the little, mottled gray bears with the black Zorro mask and the little slap hands that never seem to stand still. Originally native to North America, raccoons do not stop at any treat. They plunder garbage cans, eat their way through the supplies in barns and garden sheds and unfortunately also through the local wildlife. They are real eating machines that decimate the local fauna.
