The cultural centers of the Diputación de Alicante have celebrated a new edition of the International Museum Day with the visit of 4,000 people. The Marq, the Mubag and the Gil-Albert Institute have commemorated this anniversary with an extensive program of recreational and educational activities for the whole family that has included open days, workshops, games, contests or guided and dramatized visits, among other proposals .

The Archaeological Museum of Alicante and the sites of Lucentum and Illeta dels Banyets have touched the figure of 3,000 people, surpassing the Marq on Saturday the thousand visitors. It should be noted that the international exhibition dedicated to gladiators is close to 20,000 visits, while the museum has registered 57,000 passes so far this year.

Likewise, the historical re-enactments, performed by the Hispania Romana Historical Reconstruction Association, have been especially well received by the public and Lucentum has sold out.

For its part, the Gravina Fine Arts Museum, which, on the occasion of International Museum Day, has carried out the first guided tours of the recently inaugurated permanent exhibition “The 19th century. The collection in the light”, has accounted for some six hundred visitors during these days dedicated to DIM2022.

Finally, the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture dedicated the day to a meeting between the artist from Pego, Filiberto Siscar, and the curator of his show, Silvia Mercé, around the exhibition “Schwindel” and recorded a full house.
