Energy prices continued to fall, with a decline of 2.4 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase in food prices slowed down significantly: While prices rose by 3.8 percent year-on-year in January, they were only 0.9 percent higher in February. This was the first time since November 2021 that food inflation was below the general rate.
The values are an initial estimate by the statisticians. The authority will publish the final results on March 12th.
