July 15 was almost a day to take a deep breath for the people in the Andalusian province of Granada: the thermometer only reached 36.5 degrees Celsius this Saturday. On the following Monday, however, the 40-degree mark was exceeded again. Just like on several days in the week before. In 1995 almost 47 degrees were measured at the end of July. But in recent years there have been more and more days when people, animals and plants can hardly stand the heat.
