Also called inlay filling. In order to treat small or larger defects, for example after removing old or damaged fillings, the dentist uses inlay fillings. They are custom-made after an impression in the laboratory or with the help of computer technology in the practice and inserted in one piece. They can be made of gold alloys, base metal alloys or ceramics. Cost: several hundred euros.
