Handball Bundesliga team ThSV Eisenach secures the next talent from Switzerland. In the summer, 21-year-old right winger Gian Attenhofer is moving from HSC Suhr Aarau to Wartburg. The Eisenachers announced this late on Thursday evening after the Swiss club had already informed about it on Tuesday. “There is huge potential in this club and in this city. That is what ultimately convinced me to take this step,” Attendorfer is quoted as saying in the HSC’s statement.
After coach Misha Kaufmann, left winger Timothy Reichmuth and playmaker Manuel Zehnder, who is on loan from HC Erlangen this season, Attenhofer is the next Swiss in the Eisenacher ranks. All four also share a past at HSC Suhr Aarau.
After Willy Weyhrauch’s career ends, Attenhofer will be responsible for the right wing position together with Moritz Ende. The Swiss signed a two-year contract.
