MADRID, 17 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German authorities have sent a total of 2,450 ‘Matador’ grenade launchers to Ukraine during the last two weeks in the midst of the war with Russia, as well as 1,600 DM22 mines and some 3,000 DM31.

According to information from the magazine ‘Der Spiegel’, these grenade launchers have been ordered directly from the Ukraine to the German manufacturer, while the mines have been delivered by the Bundeswehr itself, the German Army.

The country has also handed over armored vehicles, anti-tank weapons and large quantities of ammunition and explosive devices, as well as detonators, since the beginning of the Russian invasion on February 24.

However, the country will not be able to supply the seven ‘Panzerhaubitze 2000’ artillery systems until July, although Ukrainian forces have already been trained in their use. The German spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, David Helmbold, confirmed last week the shipment of the same and stressed that, even so, Germany is not participating in the war.
