A six-year-old boy survived a fall from a seventh-floor apartment in Geldern, Lower Rhine, with serious injuries. As the “Bild” newspaper reported, the incident occurred on Saturday evening. Rescue workers rushed to the apartment building. After receiving initial care from paramedics and an emergency doctor on site, the boy was flown to a special clinic in a rescue helicopter, the police in Kleve reported on Sunday. There is no danger to life.

According to previous findings, the child opened a window in an unguarded moment and fell into a green area. There is currently no evidence of foul play. The “Rheinische Post” reported that there was another child in the apartment. The relatives would be looked after by the police victim protection service.
