The Valencia Metro will again offer free service on all its trains and trams this Sunday, May 29, on the occasion of the Generalitat’s campaign to encourage public transport and help mitigate the effects of the general rise in prices on the population.

From May 1st to July 31st, traveling on the Valencia Metro is free on Sundays, a measure that has been extended to the TRAM services in Alicante and Castellón, thanks to the Reactive Plan proposed by the regional Executive.

This free Metrovalencia service includes all journeys on the rail network from the start of the morning service to the end of the journey at night.

In addition, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana is carrying out an information campaign on its usual channels and at stations and platforms.

The free initiative comes together with the price reduction of general rates and the integration of all public transport in the new Suma tickets. Thus, the access of travelers this Sunday will be carried out the open door system and the validators will cease to be in service so that no one pays by mistake.
