After a Corona break of almost three years, the Rostock “HochzeitsMesse” took place in its 22nd edition at the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, more than 5,000 visitors “were inspired and advised at more than 70 romantically decorated stands,” as the organizers announced on Sunday. Bridal, men’s and festive fashion shows were presented at fashion shows. Visitors received tips and advice on tailor-made outfits, wedding hairstyles, wedding cakes, rings and floral decorations.
The managing director of inRostock GmbH, Petra Burmeister, was happy about the influx: “It’s really nice to see that after many years of doing without, people can and want to celebrate again.”

During the pandemic, weddings and weddings were often postponed. Many people plan the “most beautiful day” of their lives down to the last detail. In Rostock this year, 1074 appointments are planned for marriages, of which experience has shown that not all are booked.
According to the city, there were 1050 registrations last year, and 900 couples finally said yes. In 2019 there were 1003 marriages. Special combinations of numbers are in demand this year. In Stralsund, for example, March 23, 2023 is already fully booked with seven weddings.
