The police in Frankenthal (Palatinate) used a taser against a 46-year-old. The man reached for a gun in a holster on his belt on Wednesday before the police used the stun gun, the police in Frankenthal said on Thursday. The 46-year-old had previously verbally threatened his stepfather, which is why the operation had come about.
Despite warnings from the police, the man grabbed his holster. After the man was overpowered and tied up, the weapon turned out to be a blank pistol, it said. He was arrested. Criminal proceedings are now underway against the 46-year-old.
