The Greens came in third with 14 and 14.5 percent, respectively, ahead of the AfD with eleven and a half to twelve percent. The FDP was at exactly five percent for both stations and must therefore tremble about re-entering the state parliament in Hanover. The left did not manage this again with two and a half or three percent.
The distribution of seats in the state parliament and possible government coalitions now depend on whether the FDP will be represented in the state parliament. If the Liberals manage it, the SPD would get 48 to 50 seats, the CDU 41, the Greens 20 to 21, the FDP 7 and the AfD 17 to 18. Without the Liberals it would be 51 to 52 seats for the SPD , 43 for the CDU, 22 for the Greens and 18 to 19 for the AfD.
