Changeable to unstable weather with lots of wind is expected in Germany at the start of the week. It should only be quieter from the middle of the week, as the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday. Before that, there were still strong thunderstorms with gusts of wind on the way on Monday night, especially in the south. During the day, the wind will blow especially in the south and west, and it will mostly remain cloudy and rainy. Only between the Main and the Danube and in the east are there longer dry and clear sections.
While on Monday there are again 18 to 19 degrees in the east, the maximum values on Tuesday are only between 8 and 13 degrees across Germany. According to the meteorologists, on the “noticeably colder” Tuesday the weather will be changeable, with low pressure developments over the North Sea and southern Scandinavia it could be very windy in some cases. In the higher elevations of the Alps and the low mountain ranges, rain mixes with snow. Light frost occurs at night, especially when the sky is clear.
According to the weather experts, weak high pressure will be noticeable in the west and south on Wednesday – it will remain clear for longer. In the north and north-east, however, quite windy, showery weather must still be expected. Despite a possible 15 degrees on the Upper Rhine, it will still be quite cool in the middle of the week.
