April weather already at the end of March: the weather at the weekend in Baden-Württemberg will be rainy, stormy, and there will be snow in places. Strong gusts are to be expected in many places, the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday. In some places, winter is even coming back: Above the limit of 1000 meters, the DWD expects snow in some places.
After a cloudy start on Saturday, showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase. There is a strong wind blowing from the southwest, which can also freshen up to gusts of wind in the Black Forest. But it stays mild, at 8 degrees in the Black Forest and up to 14 degrees on the Rhine. Sunday night will remain cloudy with 1 to 7 degrees. In the mountains it will be windy again. Strong and stormy gusts are to be expected here again.
The weather is not expected to improve on Sunday either. It will remain overcast with rain spreading from the southwest. Around noon, this would turn into thunderstorms in many places. According to the DWD, the snow line drops to around 1000 meters. Nevertheless, it remains mild at 7 degrees in the mountains up to 14 degrees on the Rhine. In addition, there will be a moderate south-west wind with strong to stormy gusts, which can turn into gusts of wind at the summits. During the night of Monday, the temperatures should drop noticeably to minus 3 degrees to 4 degrees. According to the DWD, snow is to be expected in many places above 600 meters.
The start of the week will also be cloudy and rainy. The temperature should climb to 1 degree in the mountains and 8 degrees in the Rheingraben. In addition, weak to moderate winds are blowing from the north-west with strong gusts, which can also freshen up to squalls. Snow falls in many places in the middle elevations.
