Both games in the semifinals of the DFB Cup will be broadcast live on free-to-air television. On Tuesday (8.45 p.m.) ZDF shows the game of last year’s finalists SC Freiburg and RB Leipzig. On Wednesday (8.45 p.m.), ARD will be playing VfB Stuttgart’s second semifinal game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Both encounters can also be seen on the pay TV channel Sky.

The final will take place on June 3rd in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. Last year, Leipzig won the final against Freiburg 4-2 on penalties and thus won their first major title.

The media contract for the DFB Cup with the German Football Association, which has been running since this season, is valid until 2025/26. Sky broadcasts all 63 encounters. ARD and ZDF secured 15 games per season. That’s two more games than previously broadcast on Erste and Sport1. In addition, the two public broadcasters are allowed to broadcast extensive highlight programs.

The rights acquired by ARD and ZDF also include clip exploitation on the Internet. Highlights of all games are also available from midnight on the streaming provider DAZN and from 6 a.m. on the following day on Sport1.
