Despite being relegated, VfB Lübeck celebrated a spectacular home win in the 3rd football league. The penultimate team beat the third-to-last MSV Duisburg 5:3 (1:1) after being 1:3 behind.

Within 25 minutes, Felix Drinkuth (68th), Daouda Beleme (73rd), 18-year-old third division debutant Mika Lehnfeld (77th) and Tarik Gözüsirin scored four goals for Lübeck with a penalty kick (90th 3). Beleme had already scored 1-1 shortly before the break (45th). Former Kieler Benjamin Girth scored two goals (18th/48th) for Duisburg, who are now also on the verge of relegation. The American Santiago Castaneda (56th) ensured the supposedly safe 3-1 lead.
