The forest fire declared this Sunday afternoon in the Valencian municipality of Venta del Moro has forced to establish situation 2 of the Special Plan Against the Risk of Forest Fires (PEIF), as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat to through its social networks, which has requested the collaboration of the UME and media from Castilla La Mancha.
PEIF alert level 2 is established when an emergency situation caused by one or several forest fires can seriously affect the population and assets of a non-forest nature, which requires the immediate adoption of protection and relief measures, as well as the need to incorporate extraordinary means.
In addition, it can lead to situations that lead to the national interest.
The fire has been considered stabilized for the second time this Monday around 4:30 p.m., after a reproduction occurred. In this sense, the fire had been considered stabilized at first around 12:30 p.m., but at 3:30 p.m. two more aerial means were mobilized to work on its extinction.
Eleven aerial means remain working in the area, two of them planes from the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge based in Requena; two crews, nine brigades and five command units of Valencia Firefighters; four land units, four fire engines and three helicopter units of forest firefighters of the Generalitat; a SATCOM vehicle; a Prevention Unit; two environmental agents, and two forest foremen.
The fire started this Sunday around 3:30 p.m. near kilometer 34.5 of the CV-455, in Venta del Moro, and forced yesterday to activate situation 1 of the Special Plan Against the Risk of Forest Fires (PEIF) and to evict the Finca del Paraje del Tochar.
