The CSIF union demands “urgent measures” from the Ministry of Education to avoid situations such as those that have occurred at the beginning of the oppositions to teacher in the Valencian Community, with dizziness and even the fainting of an applicant before the high temperatures in the inside the classrooms where the tests are carried out. The trade union center recalls that the prevention regulations establish maximums of 27 degrees, and in the classrooms it reached 30.
The Central Independent Trade Union and Officials explains that throughout the year it has been insisting on the undertaking of a strategic plan to review and improve the facilities. This project would contemplate adequate air conditioning to avoid low temperatures in winter and high temperatures in weeks like the current ones, which are very hot.
The union emphasizes that Royal Decree 486/1997, of April 14, which establishes the minimum provisions for safety and health at work, sets a minimum of 17 degrees and a maximum of 27. CSIF points out that this last temperature was exceeded last Saturday 11 until reaching 30 degrees in classrooms.

Likewise, it regrets the “lack of action” by the Generalitat in the face of this “foreseeable situation”, with around 20,000 opponents registered to participate in tests in which they opt for a total of 1,229 teacher positions in a context of “logical nerves ». The union considers that Education, instead of trying to improve the environment, “has made it worse by hardly taking action in the face of high temperatures in the classrooms.”
CSIF has collected complaints from courts and opponents about last Saturday’s tests, which insist that the installation of a small fan in a corner of a classroom does not allow the entire room to be heated or lower the temperature to a maximum of 27 degrees that marks the prevention regulations.
Therefore, he emphasizes that next Saturday 18 the same situation will foreseeably be experienced in the practical test, for which he demands urgent measures from the Ministry and that it decisively face a strategic plan for the conditioning of educational infrastructures.
Faced with this situation, he denounces that “the neglect of the Administration is suffered daily, with high temperatures, by teachers and students, and during this month of June, in addition, by the thousands of opponents who attend, in a situation of nerves and tension, to win a teaching position.
