The Telekom Baskets Bonn saved their chance to reach the semi-finals of the Basketball Champions League. On Tuesday, the Bundesliga side won 76-66 (41-28) at French club SIG Strasbourg and forced a decisive third quarter-final game after the home defeat a week ago. With a win on April 19, Bonn would move into the semi-finals of the European Cup.

The Bonners found their throwing rhythm from outside early on and scored again and again after losing the ball from Strasbourg, but only managed to lead 18:17 after the first quarter. In the second round, the guests finally gained a double-digit lead with a 13:0 run and were 41:28 ahead at the break.

The guests also controlled the game in the second half and extended their lead to a difference of up to 21 points. The Bonners lost their rhythm at the beginning of the final section, but the hosts didn’t let them get closer than eight points difference. Sebastian Herrera hit five of Bonn’s eleven three-pointers and led his team with 19 points.
