BRUSSELS, 16 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –

The European Commission announced on Monday the launch of a helpline to offer information and assistance to Ukrainians and Russians who are forced to flee due to the invasion of Ukraine led by Vladimir Putin’s regime.

The objective is to provide useful and practical information on the requirements to travel to the different countries of the European Union, for example on the conditions of entry, the rights that assist them and the opportunities for stay, health care and access to education. and to the labor market.

Since last March, the European Direct Contact Center has been responding to numerous written queries in Ukrainian and Russian, so this initiative aims to facilitate queries by offering a number that will be free if they call from within the EU (00800 678 9 10 11). but they can also call with the ordinary taifas from abroad (32 22 99 96 96).

Since the beginning of the war, millions of refugees have fled from Ukraine and seek refuge in neighboring countries, mostly from the EU, which is why the Twenty-seven decided to activate the temporary protection that allows these citizens who could already travel to the EU visa-free travel without restrictions between member states, settle and look for work.
