At least two people were injured, one seriously, when an ambulance collided with a car. The 50-year-old driver of the ambulance was on Tuesday with four people on an emergency trip on the L1200 near Denkendorf (Esslingen district) when he wanted to cross an intersection at a red traffic light with special signals. As the police announced on Wednesday, a 31-year-old driver drove up to the intersection on the L1192 at the same time and wanted to cross it straight ahead at the traffic light that was green for her. As a result, the two collided.
The 50-year-old driver of the ambulance was taken to a clinic with serious injuries and the 31-year-old driver with minor injuries. It is unclear whether the patient and the other passengers in the ambulance were injured. The damage to the vehicles is around 25,000 euros. The police is asking for hints from the witnesses.
