Around 500 people took part in a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Erlangen on Friday. The police announced this in the evening. During the rally, the emergency services noticed a sign with a Holocaust comparison. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the person responsible on suspicion of incitement to hatred. Shortly after the end of the meeting, a 17-year-old demonstrator set off a battery of fireworks on Schloßplatz. Nobody got hurt. The police initiated administrative offense proceedings against the young person.
