Ongoing storms are causing flooding in parts of Great Britain. A red weather warning was in effect for the east of Scotland until Saturday evening, with which the weather service warned of imminent danger to life.
In the Angus region, several people had to be removed from their homes, the PA news agency reported. Given the weather conditions in some regions, rail operators advised against traveling. London’s King’s Cross station was at times overcrowded as many people landed there, whose travel plans were disrupted.
The storm, called “Babet” in Great Britain, has been causing problems since the middle of the week. Three deaths were reported. On Friday, a plane went off the runway during the landing approach at Leeds Airport in England, but according to the rescue workers, no one was injured in the emergency.
