After reiterating to the President of the United States Joe Biden the will of Italy and Europe to reach a negotiation for the end of the conflict in Ukraine, for the premier the second American day is marked by various institutional appointments. At 4.30 pm (Italian time) Draghi attends a meeting with the press at the Italian embassy in Washington. At 20.40 Italian the speaker of the Chamber Nancy Pelosi awaits the premier for a bipartisan meeting in Congress with the leaders of the political groups. Then, two hours later, at a gala dinner, the Atlantic Council awards Draghi the Distinguished Leadership Award for his international influence.
