The Civil Guard has dismantled a criminal group specialized in the distribution of cocaine and hashish that had settled in the provinces of Albacete, Madrid and Cádiz and that used a business open to the public near a school as one of its drug sales points. from Albacete.
The operation has resulted in the arrest of twelve people, between the ages of 29 and 45, of Spanish and Colombian nationality, to whom the alleged crimes of belonging to a criminal organization and against public health are attributed. A quantity of cocaine has also been seized with which nearly 28,000 doses valued at around two million euros could have been made.
The investigations began last October when the Civil Guard identified a drug trafficker in the town of Aguas Nuevas (Albacete). The agents discovered that he was part of a larger network that operated in different parts of Spain and that he was perfectly hierarchical with two Colombian bosses who were in charge of acquiring and moving the cocaine from Madrid to other provinces.
To do this, the network had numerous vendors, most of them with extensive criminal records for selling drugs and with a significant portfolio of “clients”, and with various properties from which the drug was sold. All of them were equipped with strong security measures such as armored doors that were difficult to open, even for the police forces in charge of crossing the entrance to homes to carry out searches. These records have also found a cutting substance to adulterate cocaine and elements used for its weighing and distribution in doses. The twelve detainees have been handed over to the Investigating Court number 1 of Albacete.
