The death toll from the floods in south-eastern Turkey has risen to 15. Another dead man was recovered from a flooded underpass in Sanliurfa, the state news agency Anadolu reported on Thursday. The death toll in the province rose to 13. Two people were killed in the neighboring province of Adiyaman. Emergency services continued to search for missing persons.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, heavy rain flooded streets, houses and emergency shelters such as tents just five weeks after the severe earthquake in south-east Turkey. Hundreds of thousands of people in the region are currently homeless and in emergency shelters.
