After the disappearance of a 56-year-old from Burgwedel near Hanover, the police continue to assume a homicide and are now looking specifically for a suspect. A 54-year-old from Warburg in North Rhine-Westphalia is under urgent suspicion, the public prosecutor and the police from Hanover announced on Tuesday. Since the whereabouts are unknown, a public search is being carried out for the man with a photo.
Investigators also want to know where the suspect’s vehicle was last seen. It is a silver car from an older year of manufacture. According to the police, the suspect is very mobile and could therefore be anywhere in Germany or in neighboring European countries.
According to previous knowledge, the 56-year-old was last seen on Saturday (September 10). The following Sunday, she failed to meet a friend, who alerted the police a day later. Because of the evidence at their place of residence, the police had already announced that a violent crime could not be ruled out. At the time of her disappearance, the 56-year-old had shoulder-length, blonde and curly or wavy hair.
The investigators also want to find out who was staying at Lake Würmsee during the affected period and basically described all observations around the weekend from September 9th to 11th as relevant to the investigation.
