Unknown people loosened the screws on an ambulance wheel in southern Lower Saxony. Nobody got hurt. The screws had been loosened enough that they could be unscrewed by hand, the police said on Monday. The driver noticed strange grinding noises during two mission trips. The car was so badly damaged that it had to be taken out of service for a day and repaired.
The investigators suspect that the perpetrators loosened the screws when the vehicle was parked on the premises of a rescue station in Herzberg am Harz. It is now being determined because of the dangerous intervention in road traffic. The incident was last Wednesday.
