Several previously unknown perpetrators are said to have been involved in the rape of a woman in Schwabach, Bavaria. According to the woman, six to seven men came towards her on the way home from a carnival parade on Tuesday, as the police in Middle Franconia announced.

One of the men dragged her to an adjacent park. Two other perpetrators then pushed her to the ground, whereupon another attacked her. For reasons that are still unclear, they suddenly let go of her and ran away.

The woman said three of the perpetrators were between 17 and 20 years old. One was wearing a Roman costume. The police are now asking for information from witnesses. An investigation is being carried out on suspicion of rape.
