A person was hit by a train in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz and was fatally injured – the police are now looking for three male teenagers. “We cannot rule out the involvement of other people and are currently searching for three people who were in the immediate vicinity at the time of the collision,” said a spokesman for the police headquarters in the evening. According to initial findings, the person killed was an adult man, but the identity had not been conclusively clarified late in the evening.
The person was lying on the tracks when a freight train hit the body around 5:15 p.m. It was unclear whether the person was conscious at the time, the police spokesman said. “It could be anything right now. It could be a crime, it could be an accident.”
