After the fatal shots at a 24-year-old on Monday in Lüdenscheid, the victim is to be autopsied. A spokesman for the responsible police in Hagen said on Tuesday. The police and public prosecutor’s office in North Rhine-Westphalia refused further information.
The investigations were ongoing, said public prosecutor Ömer Sivrice from the Hagen public prosecutor’s office. The background to the fact is therefore still unclear.
After the crime, two suspects, aged 15 and 18, were arrested. The young man initially suffered life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital, a statement said. According to the police, witnesses had alerted the emergency call on Monday afternoon and reported an injured person in a pedestrian underpass.
The two suspects were found near the crime scene. A homicide commission took over the investigation. The police are looking for further evidence, and there was no information on the murder weapon as of Tuesday morning.
