Crime: 16-year-old drives without a driver's license: mother is a passenger

With the mother’s permission, a young person without a driver’s license drove the car on Autobahn 3 in the direction of Passau. When a police patrol checked the two on Tuesday night near Offenberg (Deggendorf district), the 39-year-old passenger stated that she was tired and therefore left her son behind the wheel, the police said on Tuesday. However, the boy did not have a driver’s license. Mother and son changed places under police supervision and the 39-year-old drove on. Criminal proceedings are now awaiting both of them.
