From the point of view of the band Das Lumpenpack, the corona pandemic has made concert tours “much, much more complicated”. “Everything is much, much more expensive: locations, material and staff,” said Jonas Frömming and Max Kennel of the German Press Agency on Thursday in Munich.
“At the same time, all the bands are now going on tour because the break was so long and they have to earn money again. Now the range of concerts suddenly exceeds demand and in combination with Corona, inflation and general uncertainty, this means that the audience is staying away .”
The band, which performed in Munich on Wednesday evening and wanted to stop in Augsburg on Thursday, was “really lucky”, said the two singers. “But overall, touring has become much more complex and financially risky.”
