Two people were seriously injured in an accident near Bremm (Cochem-Zell district) on Thursday. A 46-year-old driver of a van wanted to overtake a tractor, the police said. He overlooked a 33-year-old driver on the opposite lane. The vehicles collided head-on, and the van slammed into the tractor. The driver and her 53-year-old passenger were seriously injured and flown to hospitals by rescue helicopter. The 46-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The fire brigade was also involved in the rescue work.
