MADRID, 15 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City dropped two points this Sunday in their visit to West Ham United (2-2) and gave excitement to the Premier League in the absence of a day, two for Liverpool, immediate pursuer of the ‘citizens’, who play the next Tuesday against Southampton with the aim of staying one point behind the lead.

Pep Guardiola’s team suffered excessively at the London Stadium after losing 2-0 with goals from Jarrod Bowen, who scored a brace in just 20 minutes. However, the response of the ‘sky blues’ was sensational in the final act with two goals that could even three if Ryad Mahrez does not miss a penalty six minutes from time.

The 2-1 was the work of Jack Grealish -assisted by the Spaniard Rodri- four minutes after the break and the 2-2, an own goal by Coufal, came in the middle of the second half. City could have taken the win but their poor aim in the final minutes will make them wait, at least, for Tuesday.

If Liverpool beats Southampton, City will play for the title on the last day, but if Jurgen Klopp’s pupils cannot add the three points, the Manchester team will win their fourth Premier League in the last five years, all of them under the Guardiola’s address.

For its part, in other games this Sunday, Tottenham achieved three very important points to rise to fourth position ahead of Arsenal. The Londoners beat Burnley narrowly (1-0) thanks to a goal from Harry Kane, from a penalty, in the extension of the first half.

Furthermore, Wolves squandered their last chance for European places after drawing at home against Norwich (1-1), while Leicester went on a scoring binge (1-5) at the expense of relegated Watford; and Everton postponed the permanence after losing at home this Sunday against Brentford.
