CD Toledo already has a new coach for its year in the hell of the Third RFEF. The chosen one is Aitor Gómez Cifuentes (Madrid, 1982), an old acquaintance, since in recent seasons he has visited the ‘Salto del Caballo’ with CD Marchamalo.
Precisely, that is the best endorsement of Gómez: his last three years at the head of the dashing club, which he took in Preferential and rose two categories in two years, also being champion both seasons. This course, CD Marchamalo played in the same group as CD Toledo and both were relegated. Even so, the club from Alcarria always trusted the most successful coach in its history and, in fact, completed a good second round.
Aitor Gómez, who is very close to his 40th birthday and replaces Javi Sánchez on the green bench, signs for one season.
“Their teams stand out for their defensive solidity and showy attacking play,” explains CD Toledo in a statement, adding that the new coach previously worked for teams such as Parque Verde, Santos de la Humosa, Camarma and Hogar Alcarreño.
