It is August 3, 2022, when Oliver Heise from the Diepholz district boards a plane at Hanover airport. His destination: Gran Canaria. The 23-year-old is a passionate backpacker and interested in foreign cultures and languages. He regularly posts his experiences on social networks. The young man wants to explore the Canary Islands alone. He only has the essentials with him: a blue backpack in a camouflage pattern, a blue sleeping mat and a compass.

On August 4th at 6 p.m. he posted a photo of himself in Tenerife on his Instagram story. Oliver took the ferry there. In the picture he is wearing a dark brown kaftan, Ray-Ban sunglasses and a brown scarf with a zigzag pattern wrapped around his head to form a turban. The sea and a mountain can be seen in the background. It is the last sign of life from him. After that, contact with his family stops – just like the postings on social networks. Behavior that was uncharacteristic of him. Connection data from his mobile phone shows that it was last switched on on the morning of August 5th in the Candelaria region of Tenerife’s east coast. From Tenerife, the young man actually wanted to travel on to La Gomera to explore the hippie scene there.

His mother, who lives in Leese, reported him missing to the local police on August 8th. The authorities begin their investigation and pass on their findings to the Spanish authorities. They, in turn, begin the search for the missing German and launch public searches on radio, press and social media. But Oliver Heise remains missing. A call on the program “Aktenzeichen XY unsolved” in September also did not provide any concrete information about his whereabouts.

Now a new television call should help with the search. On Wednesday evening, the case will be broadcast on the ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY…missing” (8:15 p.m.). The police ask: Who can provide information about Oliver Heise’s whereabouts? Who else saw him or had contact with him after August 4th, possibly also via social media? The Nienburg police accept tips at any time on 05021-97780 or any other police station.

Watch the video: An unconscious 25-year-old was found a few days ago in front of a church in Houston, Texas. Rudolph Farias had been missing for eight years. Farias’s appearance was hailed as a miracle, but the family’s neighbors are now making serious accusations against the mother.
