Be careful if you recently bought dry sausages at Carrefour. Lots of artisanal Beaufort sausages, from the Alliance Producteur brand, are subject to a recall, we can read on the Rappel Conso website. The presence of salmonella, detected during a bacteriological test, is the cause.
It is precisely the reference “Saucisson sec beaufort 180g VPF” which is withdrawn from the shelves. Two batches of charcuterie are affected, whose numbers are 13922 and 14022. They bear the barcodes GTIN 3498301003320 and GTIN 3498301003320, and have a minimum durability date of 07/18/2022 and 07/19/2022 respectively.
Consumers who have purchased these sausages, produced by the Debroas company, are advised not to eat them, and to destroy them or bring them back to the store for a refund.
Salmonella, the same bacteria that had recently caused the recall of many Kinder chocolates, can cause “food poisoning”, resulting “in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products”, is it specified on the Rappel Conso site. Symptoms which “may be more pronounced in young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised subjects and the elderly”.
For people who have consumed these products, it is recommended to consult a doctor. But in the absence of symptoms within seven days of consuming the products concerned, “there is no need to worry and consult a doctor”, is it indicated on the government site.
Consumers who have questions are invited to contact the manufacturer, the Debroas company, which can be reached by telephone on 06 82 41 52 15, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
