The 57-year-old had already been sentenced to nine years in prison in January for serious sexual abuse of children; this sentence has since become final. While working as a bus driver in 2021, he had gained the trust of a then 13-year-old boy and later abused him at least twelve times.
In the meantime, further allegations of abuse and rape were made against the man. The now 13-year prison sentence results from the first verdict as well as penalties for subsequent crimes. The man denied all allegations in the first trial. In addition to the victim’s statement, the investigators also had evidence that convicted the bus driver.
