The Dresdner SC volleyball players clearly won 3-0 (25:21, 25:21, 25:17) at VC Wiesbaden on the second Bundesliga matchday. After the opening defeat against Potsdam, coach Alexander Waibl’s protégés celebrated their first win of the new season. In front of 1279 spectators, diagonal attacker Grace Frohling contributed the most points (16) to the victory.

The Elbe townspeople showed significant improvement, especially in attack. The hosts were able to keep up until the middle of the set, then the DSC players pulled away. Director Sarah Straube was able to distribute the balls very variably based on a stable assumption and the attackers took advantage of their chances.

Waibl’s protégés were also very confident in blocking and field defense, with Libera Aleksandra Jegdic in particular scraping many balls out of the field. Overall, many things went better than at the start in Potsdam. After 73 minutes, captain Jennifer Janiska converted the first match point.
