No driver’s license, the car wasn’t registered – and then drunk: A 26-year-old got into trouble several times while taking a joyride in Bingen. As the police reported in a message with the telling title “Friday the 13th for drivers in Bingen”, officers stopped a driver on Friday afternoon who was driving abnormally and at high speed. During the inspection it turned out that the vehicle had already been taken out of service and had no insurance cover. What’s more: According to the police, the license plates attached were never issued for the vehicle.

And even when the 26-year-old admitted that he did not have a valid driving license, the list of criminal proceedings awaiting him was not yet complete. Because while talking to the man, the officers smelled alcohol – a voluntary test showed 0.56 per mille. Finally, the driver also stated that he was using amphetamine. Then we went to the Bingen police station.

Several criminal proceedings were initiated against the 26-year-old, including for driving without a license, forging documents, violating the compulsory insurance law – and administrative offense proceedings for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and other intoxicating substances.
