Kevin Hayes (Philadelphia Flyers) and Zdeno Chara (New York Islanders) are the other finalists.
Price has missed most of the 2021-22 season due to a knee injury for which he underwent surgery last year after the Habs’ run to the Stanley Cup Finals. He also enrolled in the National Hockey League (NHL) and Players’ Association assistance program to combat a substance abuse problem.
The veteran returned to action in April posting a 3.63 goals-against-average and .878 save percentage in five games. He also signed his only victory in the last game of the campaign, at the Bell Centre.
