The president of the United States, Joe Biden, will address the nation at 8:15 this Tuesday (2:15 a.m. on Wednesday in mainland Spain) to offer a message about the shooting that took place at a Texas school in which they have perished at least 14 students and a teacher, according to a statement released by the White House and collected by Reuters.
Biden has been informed of the event “and will continue to be informed on a regular basis as information becomes available,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Twitter.
The US president was on board Air Force One, the presidential plane, returning from a tour of Asia when the massacre broke out.
“His prayers are with the families affected by this terrible act, and he will speak tonight when he returns to the White House,” Jean-Pierre said.
