Biden, who has Irish roots, then travels to the Republic of Ireland. A speech by the US President and a meeting with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar are planned there. The visit to the UK and Ireland is due to end on Friday. The Good Friday Agreement was sealed on April 10, 1998 after intensive negotiations between Dublin, London and Washington and ended the three-decade conflict in Northern Ireland.
