A driver was seriously injured by shots in Berlin-Lichtenberg. The perpetrator shot the 55-year-old driver’s car several times from the sidewalk on Wednesday around 1:30 p.m., the police said. The shooter fled. The injured was taken to a hospital. The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on the corner of Mellenseestrasse and Dolgenseestrasse in a high-rise housing estate near the Berlin zoo. A special task force (SEK) was also deployed. A homicide detective is investigating.
