Five people were seriously injured in a rear-end collision on the A67 in the Bergstrasse district early on Saturday morning. A 20-year-old driver crashed his car into the rear of a 24-year-old between the Lorsch junction and the Viernheim triangle for reasons that have not yet been clarified, the police said. Both cars came off the road and were wedged in the hard shoulder. Both drivers and three passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
