The upheaval at Alba Berlin continues. As the Bundesliga club announced on Tuesday evening on its website, US center Ben Lammers is also leaving the club. The 27-year-old is moving to the ACB team and EuroCup champion Dreamland Gran Canaria for the coming season. “We thank Ben for three good seasons with us. He is a great player and teammate who has helped us achieve great things,” sporting director Himar Ojeda said in the statement.
Lammers moved from Bilbao to the Spree in 2020. In 181 appearances he scored 1,360 points and won two championships and a cup title. After captain Luke Sikma and international Maodo Lo, as well as Jaleen Smith, Tamir Blatt and Yovel Zoosman, Lammers is the next well-known departure from Berlin.
