A driver hit a woman in Weinsheim (Bad Kreuznach district) while reversing out of a parking space and seriously injured her. The 82-year-old was on a footpath between the parking bay and the street, where the 64-year-old overlooked her, the police said on Wednesday evening. The woman was thrown to the ground by the collision in the afternoon and suffered a head laceration. According to initial police findings, she also suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, several fractures and abrasions. Her condition is stable, it said. The driver showed no signs of being unfit to drive, the statement said.
